Fraternity & Sorority Life's Panther Greeks!
The Office of Fraternity & Sorority Life is located in the
Division of Student Affairs, in the 6th floor of the William Pitt Union,
in the Office of Cross Culturala and Leadership Development. The Office is responsible for
advising three governing councils (IFC, NPHC and PHC)
as well as our 38 individual chapter organizations. Fraternity
& Sorority Life assists the Executive Officers
and National chapters in obtaining updated grade summaries,
rosters, information needed for judicial matters,
as well as information needed for the many scholarship
programs sought by chapter members.
The three governing councils develop policies, promote
educational programming, coordinate system-wide community
service efforts, foster inter-Greek relations, and
further intellectual accomplishment, and scholarship.
The fraternities and sororoties at the University of Pittsbrugh sponsor many campus wide events including a 3K/5K run, PItt Dance Marathon, the NPHC Step Show, Greek Sing, and countless p hilanthropy and communtiy service events. The fraternities and sororities also sponsor educational programs
related to drug and alcohol abuse, sexual assault,
and health and wellness. The councils
have consistently achieved outstanding leadership and academic success both in and out fo the classroom.
As you navigate the pages of our Web site, you will
